Persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

You can do it!

 

Paul the apostle made that statement when he was in a Roman jail for preaching and teaching about Lord Jesus. He wrote the Holy Book in the Bible from that setting, and shared the “Good news” of Jesus “saves” from that cell. So, Paul is speaking from his experience as the Holy Spirit breathed those words through him for you and me!

 

You can do it in Jesus!

Jesus Spirit, His holy Word, and his Active presence say it this way:

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 NLT

 

Application: Giving yourself to the Lord is a simple phrase, but has huge challenges as we are in difficult places and situations. The starting point is to give the Lord quality time each day for spiritual interaction with Him. What is your daily quality time you give to the Lord? Talking to Him, studying His Word, and personal thanksgiving are disciplines that we will study in more depth, but the start is setting aside a quality time for spiritual growth and maintenance. Think and plan a daily appointment with the Lord. You will see a big positive response.
